Young Entrepreneurs |
|
19 youth went through the rigorous curriculum set before them and rose beyond expectations. They developed a business idea, gave it a name, set their product and service prices, wrote business plans, took career assessments & financial literacy lessons, then produced flyers, business cards, and signs to market the businesses; all in just three days.
Youth Business (Ybiz) Names: The SPEEED Café (an emerging restaurant $1 items), Farm Fresh Express (Produce Stand-items as low as .50), the Golden Boot (Shoe Shine Station starting at $5) and Transformers Car Detail (offering a Handwash, Vacuum, Wax, and more for an introductory price starting at $10). All these businesses are mobile. and available to come to a location near you. Funds generated from these businesses will be used to buy participating youth school clothes/supplies and to increase the SPEEED operating budget so the organization can support more emerging young entrepreneurs.
